I've had a trying week so far. I forgot about my car insurance auto-payment which led to disaster. With all the rain we've been having in Florida, ants decided to invade my car. GROSS! They were crawling around like they owned the place. Really?! Then today I got a flat tire. Seriously? It's a good thing I had some of this delicious cream cheese zucchini bread with browned butter struesel to snack on when I got home.

Today I'm going to share with you my favorite buttercream icing. I have been using this icing forever and people always rave about it. I've been told it is the best buttercream icing EVER! When I started decorating cakes, I tried all kinds of different recipes for buttercream icing. When I found this one, I hit the jackpot! I use it to frost cupcakes, smoothly decorate a cake and to pipe borders.

Who doesn't wish their baked cakes came out "bakery-delicious"?! This past week our cousin Chandra was wondering that same thing and tagged me on Facebook with a recipe that asked, "Do you want your cake to taste like it came from a bakery?" She asked me if the recipe really works. Hmmmm.....well, I had not tried this recipe for a Cake Mix Bakery Cake before. I was definitely up for the challenge. I had seen this recipe going around the internet for quite some time now so I decided that now was the time to try it!

I just love a fancy-looking cake! There's nothing better than bringing a show-stopping dessert to the table. Today I'm going to show you how to make a Barrel of Candy Cake. It looks super hard, but it is really very simple. There are so many options when making this type of cake. You can tweak the colors to match any holiday or theme. I had so much fun picking out ribbon and red, white and blue candies to match for the 4th of July. Of course Hello Kitty had to join in on the fun too.

So I've made this Lemon-Blueberry Bundt Cake three times already since the issue of Woman's Day came in April. It is SO delicious! I love the way the tastes of lemon and blueberries meld together. Don't you? Originally this recipe was made with mini bundt pans. I decided to throw it in my large bundt pan and it came out perfectly! I made some fresh whipped cream to go on the side because you always need whipped cream. Is that a true fact? Yup.
